NFL Flag Combine Begins June 10th
Free to kids in the community (Ages 5-17)
The NFL Flag Football season finally arrives in the San Luis Valley and begins with its Combine on Saturday June 10th. The NFL Flag Combine is a 1-Day event FREE to all kids in the Valley ages 5-17. The event will be held at the Adams State Soccer Field with doors opening at 9:00 am and Combine activities starting at 9:30 am.
This event is open to all kids in the Valley and is focused on promoting the NFL Flag Summer League which begins June 24th. This is a great opportunity for kids to stay active during the summer and be a part of a youth league that is operated by the NFL.
"We've never had a professional youth sports league like NFL Flag in the Valley, and we are excited to provide this for kids in our community. One of the benefits of the league is that it's connected with all the NFL Flag Leagues around the country which teams can complete at regionals (held at NFL franchises like the Denver Broncos Facility). Nationals are played during the week of NFL Pro Bowl. This is something that will have a lasting impact in our community and is focused on growing the game amongst girls and boys." - Aaron Tuioti-Mariner (GSA NFL Flag League Organizer)
Participants of the NFL Flag Combine will be involved with a number of drills like NFL prospects go through when preparing for the Draft. After the testing and drills are complete, the NFL Flag Staff will educate players on the NFL Flag rules and also go through a series of structured competitive activities. The NFL Combine requires participants to complete an online registration, player participation agreement, and waiver.
You may also sign up for the NFL Flag Summer League which begins June 24th. For more information you may contact the GSA NFL Flag League Office at 719-587-7403 or email the League Organizer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
